AIMS
MoVE-IT aims to renovate the teaching infrastructure used by specialists in vocational education, improve vocational training quality and making it more adaptable to the Romanian labor market by arranging a new distance teaching program in Central and Western parts of Romania.

IMPLEMENTING MEASURES AND METHODS
The project addresses to: Human resource development through, inter alia, promotion of education and training, strengthening of administrative or public service capacities of local government or its institutions and the democratic processes that support it.
Focus area: Enhancing attractiveness of, access to and participation in vocational education and training.
METHODS OF IMPLEMENTATION AND RESULTS
- Modernize the existing Information and Communication Technology infrastructure at “Petru Maior” University of Târgu-Mureş by instalment of necessary ICT servers and developing:
- 2 state of the art computer technology labs,
- 1 digital classroom,
- 1 video laboratory.
- Install modern technical ICT and video equipment at 3 regional vocational schools: “Agora” University of Oradea, “1 Decembrie 1918” University of Alba-Iulia, “Mircea Eliade” College of Sighişoara.
- Instructor training courses which target use of technology and new pedagogical methods.
- Deliver vocational training at each of the 3 remote sites.
- New pedagogical methods which utilize face-to-face training, e-learning solutions, simulations and high quality video
- Develop a "good circle" for tailor made training programmes providing vivid and cost efficient distribution of income and expenditure between the teachers, the regional schools, and UPM.
- Improve and simplify administration of training activities by extending existing Learning Management Solutions for effective deliverance of educational material from teachers to students.
- Seminars, conferences and exhibitions for transfer of knowledge to stakeholders in Romania and Europe.
IMPACT
Is to select technical solutions that are adapted to available bandwidth, and establish training solutions that are accommodated to the telecommunication costs.
The training solutions identify good practises that underpin the capacity for innovation, as well as expansion of capacity, in vocational training.
The participating training organisations and industrial companies may utilize the new training environment to offer and receive a broad range of specialized courses.

The MoVE-IT total budget is 1.128.533 euros

Responsible for implementation of the project is “Petru Maior” University of Târgu-Mureş Romania as coordinator in partnership with Sør-Trøndelag University College Trondheim Norway as partner.
